The 1992 Topps football card set doesn't get a lot of recognition throughout the hobby these days. After all, it did make its debut during an era of overproduction that would soon cause the hobby bubble to burst. And there aren't any Hall of Fame rookies within the 759-card checklist. However, if you look a little closer, there's a lot to love about this set... Some of the NFL's biggest legends appear

 The 1992 SkyBox Impact football set consists of 350 standard-size cards that were issued in 12 and 24-card packs. The set includes the following subsets: Team Checklists (277-304), High Impact League Leaders (305-314), Sudden Impact Hardest Hitters (315-320), and Instant Impact Rookies (321-350). 

 This standard-size set contains 700 cards issued in two differently designed series of 400 and 300. Cards for either series were issued in 15-card packs. First series fronts feature full-bleed color player photos with the player's name in a stripe at the bottom. The NFL Pro Set logo in the lower right corner. In a horizontal format, the backs have a close-up color player photo, biography, career highlights and complete statistical information.  

 The 1992 Pinnacle set consists of 360 standard-size cards. Cards were issued in 16-card and 27-card super packs. The set closes with the following subsets: Rookies (314-330), Sidelines (331-334), Gamewinners (335-344), Hall of Famers (345-347), and Idols (348-357).  

Released as both a Hobby and Retail product, Upper Deck MVP contains 187-veteran player cards, 29-prospect cards, and three checklists. Base cards are white-bordered and have gold foil highlights. Also inserted into this set was a Joe Montana tribute jersey card limited to just 350 copies.
